Description
Encaustic painting is an ancient technique favored by the Greeks and Romans currently popular among contemporary artists. Wax and pigment are combined to create a dimensional surface, allowing for both texture and transparency, producing a radiant effect that offers a great scope of opportunity for elegant and expressive brushwork and others effects unique to this fascinating process. The course will cover basic techniques such as melting through, line and edge, texture and collage, and transfers. Instructor: MPA Faculty
