MPA Summer Camp Week 6- Pop Art (Ages 6-8)

Week 6: Pop Art
July 31 - August 4, 9am - 12pm
Ages 6-8
$295/$280 MCC district residents
Campers will explore works by “pop” artist Andy Warhol, Jasper Johns, Claes Oldenburg, and others of the 1960s and 1970s. Campers will then create their own pop art works using found objects, commercial packaging (save those candy wrappers and soup can labels!) and other everyday commercial symbols. Discover color and composition working from everyday objects using drawing, painting, and collage techniques.
Campers should bring a snack and water each day. If attending a full day, campers should also bring lunch. Please no nuts.
Fridays will be gallery day! Please prepare to show up 15 minutes before pick-up to view the gallery show. Full-day campers: Please plan to arrive 15 minutes before the Afternoon session.
