Exploring Landscapes with Pastels
Supply List
Students will learn how to create believable, impressionistic landscapes with soft pastel. From aerial perspective to sky holes that give trees that realistic look, students will be oriented on the basics of pastel papers, colors, and theories they can employ to create paintings they will love to display or sell to others. The series covers aerial perspective, working with a limited palette, how to make various types of marks, attention to what's in light and what is in shadow, and more. I also include a framing demo that will give students a professional look and save you hundreds of dollars over using a regular framer. Instructor: Bryan Jernigan
